No matter what people think, or what the society wants us to believe, from my own perspective, each person is unique. The singularity of the DNA is a proof of that. Another aspect which makes us unique is the combination of our natural strengths. This combination constitutes our true essence. Here is what happens. We grow up, we go to school, we watch television, etc. We learn a lot of different subjects at a very young age, but rarely learn/practice self-awareness. That means we spend several years (spending even a lifetime for the majority) always looking outside of us. People want to look like someone else, look for happiness in material possessions, or in short-term gratifications. As a consequence, a lot of individuals feel empty, and a very big part is engaged in an endless pursuit of an illusion of happiness. The truth is that, looking outside of us is the same as being disconnected from our true essence (mentioned above). Being disconnected from our true essence means not using our natural strengths the way we should. Therefore we understand that the regular expression of these natural strengths constitutes a solid foundation of true happiness.

Everybody has his own expression system. We could refer this as the language of the soul. It is simply the expression of our inner talents, of the things which resonate with our heart. A soul comes to Earth to express itself, and this is possible only through the expression of natural strengths. By using them, we move with the flow of life with more ease. Because we enjoy what we do, we embrace challenges with excitement and enthusiasm. For instance, “Futuristic” and “Intellection” are among my strongest natural strengths. As a result, whenever I use my mental ability to think about a better future (which is very challenging), a sense of satisfaction invades me. As I repeat this process, I get better at things I love, become knowledgeable and I gain confidence. Confidence is a powerful ally for happiness.

Furthermore, when we focus on our natural strengths, we actually train ourself to look inwards, in order to expand and experience fulfillment. Such a feeling is also linked to the release of dopamine and serotonin inside the brain. These neurotransmitters are strongly responsible of our overall wellbeing. The regular use of inner talents reconnects people with who they are. This reconnection is what makes us unique, what makes us feel valuable. In the end, it is a way of reprogramming our subconscious mind with more beneficial and self-reinforcing activities. It is a way of balancing the release of dopamine, serotonin, and other neurotransmitters which play an important role in our wellbeing. All the previous elements help us to understand that, in the long-term, we are happier when we use our natural strengths. So, what are you waiting for ?
