I am a motor mechanic that has extensive experience in the trade. With this experience I help many car owners to solve problems on their cars that no other car repair shop has been able to. I would like to be able to offer my knowledge and experience to other motor mechanics and car owners and help them to understand more about cars. I also would like to help other to opening and run their very own car repair shop. I started my car repair shop with less than R1000.00 ($70) in my bank account and have build the business to a R2 000 000.00 ($150 000.00) business in under 4 years. Yes you don't always need to have loads of money to start a business. I will be honest that I don't have a lot of experience in business mentoring. But I will help you where I can and if I cant help I will refer you onto the right person.

Tip of the week. Did you know that all car tires have a tread wear bar that is about 2mm. This is when tires should be replaced. For more info comment below.

Tip of the week. Did you know that your vehicle should be serviced every 12 months or 15000kms/10000miles. (based on petrol engines) For more info comment below

    A bit difficult, when you have to drive to the gas station etc. to check them. How long should one then wait for them to cool down?

    Usually a Gas station isn't more than a few Kilometers or Miles away from your home. So you should be fine to check. But if in doubt fill your car up first then check tire pressures. Alternatively you can purchase a simple pressure gauge from your local parts dealer. Then you can quickly go around the car and check tire pressures before leaving your home.

Tip of the week. When checking your vehicle engine oil at the filling station. Fill your vehicle with fuel then check the oil. This will give a better reading.
