Bricks and building materials are a good place to start in rural communities that have limited resources. Help to build a dormitory in a remote school in Cambodia. These provide housing to young teachers who are often undertaking their first placements far from their own communities. In some instances, students who live far from school may also stay there. School dormitories have proven effective for retaining teachers, encouraging continued enrolment, and building stronger school communities. Bricks may also be used to provide walls and gates around the school for additional safety and to build much needed toilet blocks which can have a huge impact on enrolment and attendance for young girls.
