Do you have any personal connections with the above companies Jonathan? Would be great to know a little more of the 'inside story'. Surely electric vehicles are the 'way ahead'

Potentially a cheap way to keep solar cells operating 24 hours a day...

New Research Explains How Solar Panels Could Soon Be Generating Power at Night

As beneficial as current solar panel technology has been in our quest to switch to renewable energy, such panels can't generate electricity at night. Now, new research suggests it could be possible to design panels that can operate around the clock.

Seems like France is centuries away from what the Estonian administration set up!

What a digital government looks like

What if you never had to fill out paperwork again? In Estonia, this is a reality: citizens conduct nearly all public services online, from starting a business to voting from their laptops, thanks to the nation's ambitious post-Soviet digital transformation known as "e-Estonia." One of the program's experts, Anna Piperal, explains the key design principles that power the country's "e-government" -- and shows why the rest of the world should follow suit to eradicate outdated bureaucracy and regain citizens' trust.

Love this idea. I saw it as the next natural progression as soon as the internet came to everyone's desktop. I don't know why it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully, this transition we are going through today will be an impetus to make this leap.
