This is why...

There is overwhelming evidence that getting kids outdoors provides the best possible start in life and we are proud to foster this at Little Adventures UK.  Studies demonstrate that children now know less about the natural world than ever before in the history of human kind. According to the National Trust, fewer than one in ten children regularly play in wild places compared to almost half a generation ago, a third have never climbed a tree, and one in ten can’t ride a bike. These increasingly indoor and sedentary lifestyles are leading to distressing physical and mental symptoms, including obesity (linked to low overall fitness levels), behavioural problems, stress and a lack of awareness of nature and its benefits.  Fortunately, increasing outdoor time for children is the simplest way to tackle these problems and a forest education offers a range of proven health and wellbeing benefits.

Little Adventures UK – fully outdoor forest nurseries that immerse two to five-year-olds in nature, helping them become creative, resilient little learners.

Little Adventures has been established to give children – including our own – the chance to grow up with a sense of awe and freedom as part of their everyday lives.  Our nurseries will connect children back to nature, inspiring them to live a naturally healthy lifestyle that builds resilience, confidence, independence and self-motivation – all the tools they need for a happy and successful life.   We want to offer this generation the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful outdoors childhood that many of us were fortunate enough to have experienced but that children are sadly now missing out on.   We will follow the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and incorporate learning in a safe and secure outdoor environment, where free play, fresh air, exposure to the natural world and physical activity are an integral part of learning.

A creative wellness centre offering healing for the soul through all forms of creativity. Perfect for Manchester very own Entrepreneur community to meet up, connect and learn. 

LOGISTICS AND COSTS 

It is located right next to Shude Hill Metro between the Printworks and the Arndale. Leave the car at home and use Manchester’s clean, above ground metro to transport you or if that’s not possible then the Wonder Inn has car parks on either side of it. You never know, after a few meetings you might be the source of transport for your own cluster of Entrepreneurs creating your own impact, reducing carbon emissions. 

To help make the Entrepreneur Socials accessible to people in all stages on their journey, we do our best to keep these events as low cost as possible. The first meeting you attend is complimentary so you can get a taste of what we are about. Subsequent meetings are £10 to cover the time, effort and costs that go into making these events a success. 

NOTE - April, May and June's events will not be charged whilst the Entrepreneur Social plants its roots, although we have created the option to buy a ticket for good which will help us to tackle homelessness in Manchester.
