SurfControl plc. was eventually sold 2007 for in excess of $400m.

university spin out for email encryption that Steve was asked to go into rescue but despite no revenues or future was sold to Trend Micro Inc for an undisclosed amount.

founder investor & CEO, built a significant B2C Internet music service alongside Gareth Reakes; other notable founder investors: Peter Gabriel. WE7 reached 3m monthly listeners in the UK and was sold in 2012 to Tesco for £10.8m to become Blinkbox Music.

Think TEDx style presentations crossed with open discussions to dig deeper into the juicy stuff. Each social we will be inviting a successful Entrepreneur to share their story, their triumph, their woe’s, lessons and actions to take away. All this surrounded by a supportive network of peers in a relaxed environment to nurture your mind, body and soul..with plenty of time afterwards to stay for drinks and widen your personal circle of friends. 

The Northern Powerhouse is happening. It might take time for governments to catch up, but people can make a change today. Manchester has been cited as the seed of change for the new wave of businesses that will shape the UK and world to come.

A creative wellness centre offering healing for the soul through all forms of creativity. Perfect for Manchester very own Entrepreneur community to meet up, connect and learn. 

LOGISTICS AND COSTS 

It is located right next to Shude Hill Metro between the Printworks and the Arndale. Leave the car at home and use Manchester’s clean, above ground metro to transport you or if that’s not possible then the Wonder Inn has car parks on either side of it. You never know, after a few meetings you might be the source of transport for your own cluster of Entrepreneurs creating your own impact, reducing carbon emissions. 

To help make the Entrepreneur Socials accessible to people in all stages on their journey, we do our best to keep these events as low cost as possible. The first meeting you attend is complimentary so you can get a taste of what we are about. Subsequent meetings are £10 to cover the time, effort and costs that go into making these events a success. NOTE - March, April and May’s events will not be charged whilst the Entrepreneur Social plants its roots, although we kindly ask for any donations to help ensure this happens.
