I don’t believe there is a “one size fits all” in business and sometimes you may need to reinvent the wheel a couple of times to really nut out your offering, but if you remember the following mantra, business can be rewarding in every sense of the word.. “Ready To Serve” (RTS)

Small expenses might look innocent, but they can sink the financial well-being of your business just as easily as a big expense can.How often do you review the automatic deductions made from your bank account?Start to nurture your relationship with money today and pay dividends in the years to come!

Are you reviewing your Profit & Loss Report AND Balance Sheet every month? Both reports are equally as important. With your P&L you want to increase turnover and reduce expenses through operational efficiencies and on the Balance Sheet you want to grow your net wealth position. Are you on track?

For those of you buying and selling in the Trusted Buyers Club I've put a "How To" video up for tracking this in Xero and your accounting software. It's a bit long winded (terrible internet) but I will create cheat sheets as well. Feel free to message me if you would like these emailed instead.

Does accounting jargon fill you with dread? Does reading your monthly finance reports leave you yawning and reaching for a bottle of wine to drown your sorrows?

Cash in your bank is not profit. Bookkeeping and accounting are often confused with what I call "Bank Accounting". Checking your bank balance and being in the black does not mean your business is profitable. When was the last time you looked at your sales dashboard, P&L and Balance Sheet?
