Nic Preddle is the founder of Clued Up NZ - a company that runs team-building training and events in New Zealand. When the Pandemic took hold, 30 of Nic’s clients canceled their bookings overnight. He knew he had to pivot to digital quickly or risk losing his entire business.

Seeing the need to get support and shift quickly, Nic turned to work with the GeniusU team to find a solution. Nic knew he could add value to the community as an appointed Faculty member, teaching others how to team build and keep up team-morale during crisis times. Nic was invited to become a faculty member with his expertise in team-building and as a result, also joined the Trusted Buyers Club. As part of the Trusted Buyers Club, Nic could have his products featured on the GeniusU webstore and marketed to the community.

At first, Nic wasn't sure how to take his team-building experiences online - where people for years had been meeting in person to have experiences. He realized soon after joining the Trusted Buyers Club, with the mentoring he received, that he could take his training digital. So he listed his products as online experiences immediately and went to his team to plan how they could be delivered.

Within only 1 week of being a part of the Trusted Buyers Club, Nic had sold 4 of his online escape room team-building products, and had gone global overnight. Nic had 8 calls with Trusted Buyers Club members from all around the world, who gave him input on his product listings to further hone his offering and make his messaging even more powerful.

By the end of the first round of the Trusted Buyers Club, 10 of Nic's products had made over 2,000 dollars. He was connected to a trusted community, with sales from more than 4 countries. The Trusted Buyers Club members are now following up to work with him more and share his offerings to others.

Nic was also featured on Roger Hamilton’s Genius Entrepreneur Mastermind call with 2000 mentors and live-streamed to over 12,000 on the Crisis Leadership Academy SummitNic has already delivered several online live team-building sessions internationally just within the first 2 weeks of taking his training digital.

So what does Nic have to say about Clued-Up's emergence as a global online event and training business?

"I've been through somewhat of an epiphany around the shift to digital. I used to do only live face-to-face training and events, but by moving to digital I've opened myself up to international markets.
I don't really want to look back. I see a massive opportunity now that previously didn't seem available to me."
