Today we’re dealing with personal relationships. Fun, fun, fun!
Do you often think just how perfectly fine our vibrations would be if not for the people who brought us down? Yes, me too. Sometimes I’m the negative vibration I’m trying to get away from so I can imagine the joy I am to be around during those times!
A quick fix for protecting our vibration is to stay away from those we perceive as toxic, but if we find ourselves with an unreasonable boss, difficult partner, or dysfunctional relationship with our children or parents, get-up-and-go is not an option.
The good news is that the Law of Attraction suggests the opposite of getting up and going. It actually requires that you stay and find the positive aspect in a negative situation. After all, the reason for a negative situation is so that we can define the opposite positive situation on a list of our desires.
So when I find myself in a situation that sucks, I try to remind myself that “Yay, this situation sucks! Let’s find the positive so that I can move on.” Ok, not always the “yay” part.
Would you like to give it a shot?
But first, let’s reprogramme those self-limiting beliefs. Read your new story created in Day 1 as if it's already been achieved. Read it 3 or 4 times—or more—to raise your vibration. Reminder: Your new story should be filled with positive affirmations of love and appreciation as if everything you've asked for has already been manifested. If it doesn’t raise your vibration, perhaps you should tweak your story.
Ok, back to loving the “unlovable”. Today’s task is to list 10 positive aspects of someone who is really challenging your vibration.
I have a history of attracting challenging clients. While I continued marketing my business and services with the awareness that I attract problematic clients that test my cash flow and my patience, I was continuing to attract more of the same. You get the picture? I had to start seeing my clients in a different light.
I started with the one who was particularly trying. She was constantly asking for advice but never following it. While she was involved in a number of projects, none of them were generating an income, so when she needed me to assist with marketing it was either for free or at a reduced cost.
Yes. As a client, she pushed my button. So with an open heart and an open mind, here are the 10 positive aspects that I was able to see because I looked hard enough.
- She has the courage to pursue her dreams.
- She has the perseverance to follow her dreams even during challenging financial times.
- She is willing to learn.
- While she can’t always pay me my full fees, she knows my time is valuable and offers to pay what she can. I appreciate the income and the gesture.
- She has a kind heart. The projects she is involved with are aimed at bringing about positive change in the world, not just personal gain.
- She’s funny! (You’ll notice that by the time you get halfway through your list, you begin to soften up.)
- She is a great mother, which is clear in the relationship she has with her children.
- She’s one of my biggest cheerleaders as she’s always raving about the service I provide.
- She is a woman of faith. While we may not always agree on what “God” is, we still have a mutual respect.
- She’s given me this opportunity to raise my vibration!
The theory of Law of Attraction is that when you choose to see the lovable in “unlovable” people, they’ll eventually become the lovable people you believe them to be. But it starts with what you believe about them!
Your turn to give it a try…
