Chapter 7 of Wealth Dynamics for Marketing - Timing your "when" - has been updated to include some practical examples. I've also added a short chapter 9 - Putting it all together.
Addition to chapter 7:
Consider your next marketing campaign.
What is your marketing budget over the next 6 months? Which products would you like to focus on? How much time do you have available per month to allocate to your marketing activities?
Say you've allocated *1500 (*use currency of your choice), you have 3 products in your range, and you have 10 hours per month available for promoting your business over the next 6 months. Consider options 1, 2 and 3.
Option 1: All-year products
| Product | Campaign period | Budget | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product 1 | August to January | 500 | 20 (3.3 x 6 months) |
| Product 2 | August to January | 500 | 20 (3.3 x 6 months) |
| Product 3 | August to January | 500 | 20 (3.3 x 6 months) |
Option 2: One product is seasonal/occasional and require all your resources
| Product | Campaign period | Budget | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product 1 | August to January | 1500 | 60 (10 x 6 months) |
Option 3: Each product has its own “busy period”
| Product | Campaign period | Budget | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product 1 | August and September | 500 | 20 (10 x 2 months) |
| Product 2 | October and November | 500 | 20 (10 x 2 months) |
| Product 3 | December and January | 500 | 20 (10 x 2 months) |
What products would you like to spend your time and money on for your next campaign? Use this layout as the framework for your next promotion:
| Product | Campaign period | Budget | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product 1 | |||
| Product 2 | |||
| Product 3 |
