STEP ONE : KNOW THYSELF

From the sages of early Greece this advice is still very valid. Understanding myself and my own Skills, Talents and Passion was the critical step in being able to formulate what I could contribute to any team or project. This understanding was gained by taking the Wealth Dynamics© test which identified my personal profile as being a creator, a tag that is 1 of 8 different unique profiles in the Wealth Dynamics model.

Again, this model is based on the ancient Chinese concept of I-Ching which helps a person to identify the talents and inherent attributes, or energies, which drive a person in a specific direction and gives each one of us a specific characteristics that work best in certain areas.

A good example of this in a practical situation is identifying a person as being an introvert, with high attention to detail and being a “numbers” person. It would be a mistake to put this person into a public role as the public face of the enterprise or in a marketing role, for example, which demands an extrovert personality and an ability to be outward-focussed.

This step is crucial to any person starting out on the road as an entrepreneur to knowing the best way in which he or she can contribute to any venture or team.

Go to www.wealthdynamics.com for the first step in identifying what profile you best match.

This is a free profiling test and will place you in one of 4 personality types. I recommend taking the full Wealth Dynamics profile assessment to identify which of the 8 profiles one fits. Roger Hamilton of Entrepreneurs Institute is recognized as one of the global leading experts on entrepreneurship and has a wonderful series of online videos for the serious entrepreneur to follow and to become trained in the essentials of entrepreneurship. Don’t go any further until you have had a look at what is offered in Roger’s online training videos.

This first step then identifies your role in a team and the ways in which you can best contribute to delivering value to a project or business. In other words, “don’t put a square peg in a round hole”. This simple process ensures that you can deliver your best to whatever endeavor you find yourself in by the “best fit” principle.  This principle works for every single member of a team and when you are ready to work with others in a team then you need to evaluate and understand their profile and design your team dynamics on this basis.

STEP TWO : KNOW YOUR PASSION

The second step in this process requires you to understand fully your motivations and your passions, the “raison d’etre” for your drive and your enthusiasm. Again there is a very useful tool in the “Passion Test”© which can be taken at https://thepassiontest.com/ and has to be the best way for any individual to identify what their primary passion is in life and what drives them to achieve or contribute and give in a meaningful manner.  This process will highlight for you what area in life you should be focused on, to not only give meaning to your own existence, but also to the benefit and welfare that you can bring to your immediate environment.

Only by following your Passion will you become truly fulfilled and satisfied to your inner being that you are being who you are meant to be, and accomplishing what you are meant to be doing.

Once you have these first 2 basic measures in mind, WHAT you are best equipped for, and WHAT internally motivates you, then you can move to the next step in understanding HOW you might best deploy your energies and drive for the great purpose that you intend to pursue.

My 3rd part of Steps 3 and 4 will be posted soon: keep watching.
