A question I recieved this morning and my answer

Great question Zachary

Age and Leadership I will present 2 perspectives:

+VE  - age gives you experience and far more situations to reflect on, learn  from and impliment into practice. Age gives you wisdom, insight &  gravitas. Age gives you knowledge and Learning.

Age gives you patience and a less ‘care’ about what others think of you. Face is not so important to aged individuals.

Age  gives you the ability to have seen so much and to have been through so  much which of course includes technology advancements. I remember  ‘tills’ checkouts before scanning let alone paying by card! I remember  the 1st mobile phone ‘The Brick’ as it was nicknamed in the UK and  believe it or not it really wasn’t that long ago

Age provides you with a greater gratitude of how easy life can be and how difficult some people make it.

Age  provides a different perspective on Wealth, Work, Fun, Living Life  & Giving - it is a fabulous store of contribution to the younger  generations.

-VE - age makes you tired, fed up with the inconsequential things in life. age can make you sceptical, synical, bored,.

Age can create health issues7 pain - which affects behaviour. Age can create an intolerance of others issues

Age can stop people learning ( or the perception they have to) age can create ‘coasting’ in employment and life even for Leaders

Age can become hard and non valued - age can give leaders a repetitive cycle so they have seen it all before!

Conclusion:  what we do and how we do it is a choice, how we live our lives is a  choice - age gives us so much and it is our choce how we present it to  be of value

With thanks for the question
