2 years ago Eric Min was indoor cycling when he wondered why it wasn’t more fun and more social. That’s when he had his Eureka moment and thought “What if we could take something that was historically mind numbing and turn it into entertainment?

“What if we could take advantage of video game technology, social networks and friendly competition and package that experience for the indoor cyclist?”

Eric decided to go all in and launch a new startup, Zwift, to make his idea a reality.

2 years later, Eric has 170,000 riders using Zwift, riding together virtually, making friends from around the world and taking part in virtual races. They have already logged 2.5 million rides and 45 million miles cycled.

In July, when 100,000 took part in Prudential RideLondon, Zwift created a virtual course so many more could compete at the same time from around the world. It’s just a matter of time before you’ll be able to join any major race around the world from wherever you are.

This month, Eric has raised $25 million to grow Zwift from indoor cycling to outdoor cycling and running, so you can gamify your exercise wherever you go.

Eric isn’t the first to come up with an idea like this while exercising. But he's the first to act on it, and two years later he has a multi-million dollar business.

What idea are you sitting on? Get on your bike and take action!
